Mike Murphy is the Head Physiotherapist and Clinic Owner at RAPID.
He has completed the TPI Medical, Fitness and Power Qualifications and has worked with golfers of all ages and all abilities, helping them to Move Better, Feel Better and Play Better.
The RAPID Elite Golf Bundle is his comprehensive golf movement screen and programming which includes a full TPI Assessment, the RAPID Golf Assessment, a walk through of your individual Golf Warm Up Routine and online access to his RAPID Golf Foundations Program.
What's Included In The RAPID Elite Golf Bundle?
Mike will go through a full medical, surgical and injury history with you before completing any screens. If you have any current or old injuries, these may be affecting your swing and limiting your ability to play the golf which you want to play.

If you have had previous MRI's or other relevant imaging or testing, please bring copies of your reports to the session.
TPI Golf Assessment
You will next do a full TPI Golf Assessment. The TPI is the Titleist Performance Institute which is the world's leading educational organization dedicated to the study of how the human body functions in relation to the golf swing.
Since its inception in 2003, TPI has studied thousands of golfers ranging from the top professional Tour players to weekend enthusiasts. An incredible amount of data on players of all shapes, sizes, ages, and fitness levels has been gathered during this time. Using this data, TPI discovered how a properly functioning body allows a player to swing a golf club in the most efficient way possible. Additionally, TPI has analyzed how physical limitations in a player’s body can adversely affect the golf swing and potentially lead to injury.

This is where we will find your strong and weak areas which will influence our Golf Warm Up Routine.
RAPID Golf Assessment
Next up you will complete the RAPID Golf Assessment. Here Mike will assess in greater detail anything which did not score full marks in the TPI Screen. He will also test out your strength and start to piece together how this may be affecting your swing.
- Further investigation into weak areas from TPI Screen.
- Strength testing.
- Find correlations / explanations between your body limitations and your swing deficits.
Once we can see how your body limitations are affecting your swing, we can start to target them! This will allow you to play better golf, without spending hours more practicing.
RAPID Golf Warm Up
We should now know exactly what your weaknesses and limitations are, now is the time to target them with specific exercises which you can do at home or in the gym. These exercises will help form your RAPID Golf Warm Up which is the 15 minute routine which you will commit to doing before every round of golf.
- Individual exercise routine based on the results of your screens.
- All exercises recorded on your phone with coaching tips and technical analysis.
- Your new 15 minute routine before Golf.
The results of your screens are the results of how you move in daily life. If we want to make meaningful change and move better in order to play better golf - you have to follow the program!
RAPID Golf Foundations Access
Finally we will give you access to our Online RAPID Golf Foundations Program which features all of the exercises which we commonly prescribe to our golfers. This program is broken down into Level 1, 2, 3 and 4 exercises so that you can progress the movements as you improve.

This program would usually take 3-4 one-on-one visits to cover all of the exercises and give individual coaching points on each - now you have full, lifetime access from home.

Every golfer is constantly looking to improve their golf swing. Without being able to move your body correctly it is hard to make the progress that you're seeking. Mike is an expert at finding where each individual is strong and maybe not so strong. He goes above and beyond to pinpoint specific movements and exercises that will help you improve your weaker areas, while all the time explaining why and how this improves specific parts of your golf swing. His ability to merge Physiotherapy with functional golf movements is second to none. Within 3 months of working with RAPID I noticed a complete change in my balance and power throughout my swing, along with adding 5-mph club head speed. I cannot recommend RAPID enough, Mike is the best physio in Dublin.
I have been working with RAPID for a number of months and I have found Mike's knowledge of the golf swing and ability to explain the process that is required to enable me to swing the golf club better, excellent. I attended RAPID based off a suggestion from my golf coach as Mike had experience coaching golfers. Throughout my sessions, Mike swapped seamlessly from golf-specific principles to very general physiotherapy principles. Similarly, he was equally able to give detailed explanations/analysis in areas I had some background knowledge and very basic, easy to understand answers in others. Mike's demeanour was professional, friendly and engaged. The premises were spacious and the weight lifting equipment was high quality. My range of motion, strength and stability in my shoulder and hips have all improved and so has my understanding.
I've been working with RAPID during the off-season this winter. A previous serious leg break had resulted in a slow increase in my handicap over several years. During the few months of training with Mike, I have seen an immediate increase in both speed and strength in my golf swing. The results on the course speak for themselves, I'm hitting the ball longer and straighter than ever. I could not recommend Mike enough and would encourage any player who is serious about making big gains in their golf game to reach out!
When I began working with Mike, I was not only in constant pain, but I was without a solid plan to recovery. With Mike’s expertise, we were able to build a progressive rehab plan together that combined strength training, mobility training, and speed training, all specific to golf. After a few months I was not only almost entirely pain free, but I was also able to avoid surgery, I was back playing tournaments and I was stronger than I had ever been. He is the best physio I have ever worked with and if he didn't have to return to Dublin, I’d still be working with him to this day! Thanks again for all the help.
I have only gone to RAPID for two appointments for injuries that I have had, and to improve my flexibility and mobility to get the best out of my golf game, and to be able to practice for long periods of time without pain.
